I doubt Honda quality now

I own this machine and so we take a family minivan. From the start, I saw many quality bug and 2-4 Honda recalls. 1) Air bags recalls two) Doors call back 3) Defective commuter door lock 4) Lacking auto lock/unlock I am really doubting the quality and thinking to replace all my Honda vehicles.

2018 Honda Odyssey EX-Fifty with Navigation and Rear Entertainment. Offset permit me start off by saying I'k not a Honda fan. Always since I had a terrible experience with a civic I stayed away from Honda. Afterward having my 2d child our meaty SUV was non big plenty (2 kids both in car seats, a double stroller, and ii dogs. Yeah that wasn't going to happen). I test drove every 3 row SUV on the market because I was Non going to own a minivan. I test collection a 2016 Honda Pilot and just loved it. And then that brought me back to the Honda Line. I went to a dealership and told the sales guy I was looking at the Pilot. He asked the size of my family and said "let me show you lot the Odyssey". I was VERY reluctant to look at information technology. i considering it was aforementioned car my parents drove and two it was a MINIVAN! Just I decided to go and look. Am I glad that I did! The amount of space this thing had, the seats were so comfortable, information technology's turning radius was felt like I was driving a car, and the ride was incredible! I was able to take the car domicile for 3 days before I fabricated my final conclusion. In those 3 days, I put the stroller in it, tested the rear amusement for my 2 twelvemonth quondam, loved that I could open the doors and my 2 yr old could climb in, oh and I didn't have to worry virtually hitting the machine next to me in the parking lot! I was sold on the van. I bought the van on December 28, 2018 and knew this was going to be our family unit machine for years. I can keep all of the seats upwards and have the stroller in the torso. The EX-50 offers enough of features to experience similar you are driving the top of the line without the toll tag. Leather seats with driver memory, keyless entry with remote kickoff, automatic doors, Honda Sensing (thats on the EX trim as well) and the organization work nifty. Automatic lift gate, automated high beams, the magic sliding seats, auto lock feature so if you walk away with total hands the automobile will lock, and many more! I average 30 MPG combined driving (eco mode is e'er on). Aye I am no longer "cool" but hey this thing can acquit my family and all of our stuff comfortably. My car only has less than 6,000 miles on it at present, and so information technology is a baby, but she'due south a dandy car and we have had no problems with her. Don't stick to the SUV craze, cave and buy the minivan. You won't regret it!

Needed a car to travel with our 2 dogs and all of our "stuff". Either minivan or a Suburban needed. Odyssey Aristocracy is perfect - great travelling car, comfortable, lots of room, great features, and solid gas mileage. two recalls and iii unscheduled repair visits for annoying small things and exterior fit and finish is a joke (Honda reliability is overrated) but I would definitely buy this again.

Excellent design, very comfortable, and a keen highway van. Two items I would modify. 1 the automobile idle shut off should not be the primary mode. Detest it when I forget to turn it off at startup and showtime stop low-cal it shuts off. 2 The auto high beams are inactive at lower speeds.. not sure why just I live in the country and information technology'southward as nighttime at 30 mph as it is at 60.

Subsequently ownership new odyssey 2018 in three months I started seeing sliding doors not getting locked. I had to endeavour 10-twenty times to get them locked and get out it to my luck that they don't get unlocked while driving. When I went to dealer they merely got recall of sliding doors and they turned off automated sliding of doors. Since then I am using my new car like 20 years sometime model, and dealers however say that it is national problem and they don't accept parts yet. In half-dozen months my experience is 3 months of new car and three months of old model auto.... highly dissatisfied with Honda service...

Frustrating issues with Elite

Have two issues with the minivan. These issues are happening in 2018 model since at that place is not much change betwixt 2018 and 2019. There is a very high probability that 2019 may too have this issue. 1) Van'due south speakers occasionally make ticking sounds for about 30 to lx minutes. It likewise makes spark sounds when I try to unlock the door or when I release the brake after engine auto shutdown(elite characteristic). In total dealer has kept the vehicle for more than than 35 days to ready this effect. 2) Van's A/C makes a high pitch sound. Again Honda does not have a fix for this. My personal suggestion volition be to not purchase this until Honda finds a ready for the above two problems.

My first 2018 Odyssey was totaled when someone ran a ruby light and tboned the car doing 55 mph. The exterior looked bad and other than the airbags going off on the inside you would never know it was in an accident. The van did exactly what it was designed to do and my wife and 2 kids where prophylactic and walked away with just a few bruises from the condom belts. If they where in a smaller vehicle they would not of been then lucky.

We LOVE this van but exercise then wish it had an all-around & birdseye camera (& sensors) arrangement. And altho the 280hp is very good, wish it had 300hp or better. The interior, exterior, doors & liftgate controls WONDERFUL!! Can?t say I honey the touchscreen though.

Our car is ok merely there is some stuff nosotros don?t like about the machine. Remote beginning has to accept the doors locked and push button down for more than than 5 seconds. There is no way of knowing that the car has started afterwards you printing and hold the remote start. Navigation/tachometer-speedometer/radio is all connected somehow and it died or blackout on united states inside two months of owning car. Took information technology to dealer and they had no clue on how to repair it or how it started to work again. FYI everything is digital on the car. In that location is a lock window button that y'all tin engage just in one case information technology?s on no windows can open up even with the drivers control. When your inside the vehicle and doors are locked you are unable to open up the doors by pulling the handles and no style of starting the car unless y'all printing on the brakes.

The Odyssey replaces a 10 yr erstwhile Sienna. A big leap frontwards in engineering science, driving dynamics, and safe. We debated betwixt crossovers or another minivan, simply dollar for dollar, the minivans are hard to beat. Cargo, comfort, fuel economic system, and reliability.

This car met all my expectations. Spacious, has extra leg room on the back seats, helm seats makes the ride peachy and fun for the kids, air condition is amazing, front touch display is piece of cake and friendly to utilize. Traded in 2009 odyssey exl for 2019 same. Liked the erstwhile and then bought the new. Despite more power and better manual acceleration is sluggish with the new compared to the old. Also steering is amend on the erstwhile for the feel of the road. In that location are many new prissy features with the new to mention here.

We almost pulled the trigger, however nosotros found the back and center seat areas to exist extremely uneven and would not work for our dog crates which crave flat surface and likewise would not accept been suitable for our summer adventures which from fourth dimension to time my married woman and I volition sleep in the van and with the flooring then uneven it would not be comfortable.

I traded in from a Airplane pilot to an Odyssey. Equally a mom of 3 kids, this was a game changer for me! The ease of getting my kids in and out, the peace of all the condom features as I'm driving on the road, all the loftier tech features ... I at present look for excuses to go places with my kids because I love driving that van. I would recommend it to anyone with a family, for sure!
